Heavy, sticky air changes how products feel on skin. Rich creams that work in dry winters can sit on top of the skin, trap sweat and clog pores. The fix is not doing less — it is choosing lighter textures.
1. Cleanse gently
A mild gel cleanser morning and evening. If you have been outdoors or wearing sunscreen all day, cleanse properly at night, but avoid anything that leaves skin squeaky.
2. One treatment serum
Pick a single active for your main concern — a brightening serum for dullness and marks, or an anti-acne serum for breakouts. Water-based serums absorb easily in humid weather.
3. Oil-free moisturiser
Humidity does not replace moisturiser. A light, oil-free lotion keeps the barrier healthy without adding shine.
4. Sunscreen, every morning
UV does not take a break when it is cloudy. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher and reapply if you are outside for long or sweating.
What to drop
Facial oils, thick balms, heavy night creams and layering several serums at once. Bring them back, if you need them, when the air turns dry.
